The NNCC Board of Commissioners met at the end of October to ensure the NNCC continues to meet the highest standards in credentialing for nephrology/dialysis nurses, nephrology nurse practitioners, and dialysis technicians. A great big thank you for the work that you do!

We Recognize Heroes in Health Care
The NNCC Board of Commissioners and National Office staff would like to send a special thank you to our Certified Nephrology Nurse Practitioners (CNN-NPs). This week we honor the more than 355,000 licensed nurse practitioners across the US with NP Week 2023! "Recognizing Heroes in Healthcare"

WIN BIG! Attention Dialysis Nurse Educators, Clinical Managers, Charge Nurses, and Preceptors in Dialysis!
NNCC invites you to participate in an important survey regarding the role of the dialysis technician. This important survey will be used to be sure the contents of the CCHT and CCHT-A certification examinations are current. In addition to surveying technicians, we need input from nurse educators,

clinical managers, charge nurses, and preceptors to add to the validity of the findings. NNCC is offering a chance to win $1,500 in Amazon gift cards! Thirty $50 gift cards will be awarded randomly to 30 participants who complete this survey! The survey will take about 45 minutes to complete. Please share this link with our coworkers – certified or non-certified!
 
 

WIN BIG: Dialysis Technicians Survey!
NNCC invites all dialysis technicians to participate in an important survey of YOUR practice. Participation could bring BIG WINS with $3,500 in Amazon gift cards! The first 500 technicians to respond will have a chance at winning a $50 Amazon gift card, randomly awarded to 40 participants.

For additional technicians responding, 60 Amazon gift cards of $25 will be randomly awarded. You must complete the survey to enter the drawing.
 
This important survey will be used to evaluate/ensure contents of the CCHT and CCHT-A certification exams are current. All survey responses are anonymous. The survey will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Good news, you can take a break and return to the survey during the process! We appreciate your time – and please share this survey with your colleagues! Every survey response will provide valuable insights only you can share!
 
 

Hurry, It’s Not Too Late! Career Mobility Scholarship Applications Due November 30
Career Mobility Scholarships will be awarded annually to support qualified, certified individuals in continuing education and development or support of a program to improve patient outcomes in the health science field.

later than November 30, 2023. Application process includes essay, letter of acceptance from academic institution and three letters of recommendation. Don’t wait for the last minute! Get your materials started soon – we look forward to reviewing your application!
 

NNCC Offers Free Practice Exam to Approved
CCHT-A Test-Takers!
Experienced Dialysis Technicians, NNCC is now offering a free online practice exam when you are approved to take the CCHT-A certification examination. You now have one more reason to take the next step in the advancement of your career goals!

NNCCs Water for Dialysis Program: What's in your Water?
NNCC’s Water for Dialysis Program, What’s in your Water? is a learning activity provided by NNCC to help participants obtain knowledge and competency concerning water treatment for dialysis. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
 
• Identify the components of the dialysis water system including their purposes, monitoring requirements, and patient safety considerations.

• Explain how water-related clinical problems occur, are identified, and can be prevented.
• Discuss the elements of the CMS water survey that ensure compliance with safety.

Great News: Upon completion, a certificate will be provided awarding a four-contact hour credit to be used towards NNCC certification or recertification continuing education requirements.
