Congratulations to the 2021 NNCC Quality
Improvement Award Winners

Demonstrating the commitment to patient care of our NNCC certificants, we received a record number of Quality Improvement Award applications this year. We are thrilled to announce the winners below, each of whom will receive $1,000 and an engraved plaque.

The award recognizes individuals or organizations participating in a QI project that promotes optimal patient outcomes in nephrology. Given the high number of applicants this year, NNCC has decided to select the top four!

Applications are reviewed by the NNCC Board of Commissioners and ranked based on innovative concepts, outcomes, and quality assurance and performance improvement principles.

Join us in congratulating the winners!

The public health emergency surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic was extended on July 20 by the Department of Health and Human Services for another 90 days.

What does this mean for you and your certification? If you’re due to certify or recertify, this requirement will be waived by the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) during this period. For more details on the waiver and its impact on your dialysis certification, read the NNCC FAQs Regarding CMS Waiver and Certification Credentials.
