NNCC Eligibility Criteria Changed for Recertification
As of May 1, 2019, the continuing education requirements for recertification were changed. Here are the details:
- CCHT: 30 hours of continuing education required; 10 of those must be through programs specific to nephrology.
- CCHT-A: 40 hours of continuing education required; 15 of those must be specific to nephrology.
- CD-LPN: 30 hours of continuing education required; 10 of those must be specific to nephrology.
- CNN and CDN: 45 hours of continuing education required; 15 of those must be specific to nephrology.
- CNN-NP: 150 hours of continuing education required; 50 of those must be specific to nephrology.
All contact hours must be accredited through one of NNCC's approved accrediting bodies unless otherwise stated in the eligibility criteria. For more information, visit the Recertify section of the NNCC website, click on your credential, and scroll to the “Recertifying by Continuing Education/Clinical Experience” tab.

New Report Releases Benchmarks on Health of Seniors in America
The United Health Foundation has released results of a sweeping new study benchmarking the health of older adults. The America's Health Rankings® Senior Report was created in partnership with the Gerontologic Advanced Practice Nurses Association to improve the health of America's seniors.
