NNCC Clinical/Technical Career Mobility Scholarship Winners
|

Each year, the NNCC awards up to FIVE $3,000 Clinical/Technical Career Mobility Scholarships to CCHTs, CCHT-As and/or CD-LPN/LVNs who are furthering their education in the health/science field.
This year, as usual, NNCC received a large number of applications! Each application goes through a rigorous blind review by the Clinical/Technical Examination Board, the applications are scored, and the selections are then approved by the NNCC Board of Commissioners. This year there was a tied score, so the Board has approved a SIXTH winner to be awarded!

NNCC Advanced Practice Career Mobility Scholarship Winner

Each year, the NNCC awards ONE $5,000 Advanced Practice Career Mobility Scholarships to a CNN-NP who are furthering their education in the DNP program.
Each application goes through a rigorous blind review by the Advanced Practice Examination Board, the applications are scored, and the selections are then approved by the NNCC Board of Commissioners.

NNCC Nephrology Nursing Certification Advocacy Award
|

Each year, NNCC's Board of Commissioners reviews application submissions for the NNCC Nephrology Nursing Certification Advocacy Award. This award was developed to be able to publicly recognize organizations that advocate for or promote all levels of nephrology nursing certification. The award winner will receive a plaque to honor their efforts, a check for $1000 and recognition throughout the year.

Fee Reduction! CCHT-A Examination Application Fee Reduced
|
The NNCC Board of Commissioners and the Clinical/Technical Examination Board have unanimously agreed to decrease the CCHT-A Examination application fee from $250 to $225.00 effective June 1. For experienced, nationally certified dialysis technicians who have worked a minimum of five years and 5,000 hours working at an advanced level of practice as a dialysis technician, this is one more reason to take the next step to earn the credential that shows your knowledge and experience.

FREE Online CNN-NP Practice Exam
|
NNCC Board of Commissioners and the Advanced Practice Examination Board have examined some of the roadblocks for nephrology nurse practitioners taking the CNN-NP certification examination. A lack of resources and preparation materials seem to be a large factor.
|
|
|
|
|
NNCC will now offer a free online CNN-NP practice examination to nephrology nurse practitioners who have been approved to take the CNN-NP examination. Upon approved for testing, nephrology nurse practitioners will receive a link to take the online practice exam. This, in addition to the free CNN-NP Certification Preparation Guide, will have you well on your way to preparing for the exam!

Important Survey: Calling All Registered Nurses Working In Nephrology!

The NNCC invites all Registered Nurses working in Nephrology to participate in an important survey for your practice. This important survey will be used to be sure the contents of the CNN and CDN certification examination are current. All survey responses are anonymous. The survey will take about 45 minutes to complete.

Announcing NNCCs Water for Dialysis Program - What's in your Water?
|
NNCC’s Water for Dialysis Program, What’s in your Water? is a learning activity provided by NNCC is to help participants obtain knowledge and competency concerning water treatment for dialysis. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify the components of the dialysis water system including their purposes, monitoring requirements, and patient safety considerations.
- Explain how water-related clinical problems occur, are identified, and can be prevented.
- Discuss the elements of the CMS water survey that ensure compliance with safety.

Great News: Upon completion, a certificate will be provided awarding a four-contact hour credit to be used towards NNCC certification or recertification continuing education requirements.
