NNCC’s Newest Commissioners: Next Steps
NNCC Board of Commissioners
NNCC Board of Commissioners: The NNCC Board of Commissioners met on April 23, 24 in Charleston, South Carolina. The Commission meets quarterly to discuss the goals of the certification board and make decisions that benefit NNCC certificants. April’s meeting included some very exciting work selecting scholarship and award winners. Thank you to the NNCC Board of Commissioners for this very important work!
Lori and Mary
Welcome to the Board Lori and Mary: The NNCC Board of Commissioners welcome two new members! A big welcome to Lori Mahaffey and Mary Greensides. Lori and Mary have begun serving their first two-year term. We are excited to have their knowledge and expertise!
Danilo And Katherine
Thank You For Your Time Danilo And Katherine: With abundant appreciation, the NNCC Board of Commissioners said farewell to two valuable members of the board. We are sad to see them go, but we remain energized that they will continue to share their expertise and insights from time to time. Best wishes to Danilo Concepcion and Katherine Cure!
 
NNCC Nephrology Nursing Certification Advocacy Award

Each year, NNCC's Board of Commissioners reviews application submissions for the NNCC Nephrology Nursing Certification Advocacy Award. This award was developed to be able to publicly recognize organizations that advocate for or promote all levels of nephrology nursing certification. The award winner will receive a plaque to honor their efforts, a check for $1000 and recognition throughout the year.

 
Congratulations NYU Langone Hospital: This year, the NNCC Board of Commissioners are honored to announce NYU Langone Hospital, Long Island, Acute Dialysis Unit for their admirable efforts to advocate for certification in nephrology! NNCC Clinical/Technical Career Mobility Scholarship Winners

Each year, the NNCC awards up to FIVE $3,000 Clinical/Technical Career Mobility Scholarships to CCHTs, CCHT-As and/or CD-LPN/LVNs who are furthering their education in the health/science field.

 

Record-Breaking Applications: This year, NNCC received another record-breaking number of applications! Each application goes through a rigorous blind review by the Clinical/Technical Examination Board and the selections are then approved by the NNCC Board of Commissioners.

 

The NNCC Board of Commissioners and Clinical/Technical Examination Board is delighted to announce the 2022 Clinical/Technical Career Mobility Scholarship winners!

Quality Improvement Award

Quality is your paramount goal, and NNCC wants to reward you for it. The NNCC Quality Improvement Award is given to an individual or organization who has participated in a quality improvement project that promotes optimal patient outcomes in nephrology. The recipient will receive $1,000, national recognition, and a personally delivered engraved plaque during an awards ceremony. Submit the electronic application before June 15, 2022.
