NNCC President-Elect Sandra Bodin, MA, RN, CNN, presented Aspirus Langlade Hospital Kidney Care in Antigo, WI, with NNCC’s first Quality Improvement QI Award on September 24.
The application for the award had been submitted by Renal Dietitian Toni Pflieger, RD, CD, and Kidney Care Manager Jesus Almeida, BSN, RN, CNN, and focused on the facility’s nutrition project, "Two for the Road - Protein Supplement Program." (Read full story here.)
The QI Award recognizes an individual or organization that promotes optimal patient outcomes in nephrology. Winners receive $1,000, an engraved plaque, and industry recognition for excellence.
